Shares - Your Choices |
|
|
| Full Share (mid-May to Mid-October):
|
|
Most members elect to receive the Full Share, which is a grocery bag
full of produce. We
anticipate that the amount and variety of produce will increase as the
season progresses.
|
| Small Share (mid-May to Mid-October):
|
|
You have the option of
receiving either ½ of the amount in a Full share weekly or the whole
amount in a Full Share delivered every other week. This is an option for
a couple or the vegetable-lite household.
|
| Family Share (mid-May to Mid-October)
|
|
The Family Share feeds three to four people. Some members preserve a portion of the Family Share for later
use, while others split the Family Share alternate weeks with a friend.
|
| Storage Vegetable Share (Two deliveries – about 40
pounds each – mid-November and mid-January):
|
|
Each delivery includes: potatoes,
carrots, onions, winter squash, cabbage, kale, leeks, radish, beets,
kohlrabi, turnips, brussels sprouts, garlic, pie pumpkin, and other root
vegetables
|
| Family Storage-Share (Two deliveries – about 60
pounds each – mid-November and mid-January):
|
|
Same
as the Storage Vegetable Share described above, except about 50% more

Flowers are pretty to look at, but looks aren't everything.
Flowers speak to something elemental in our souls; the presence of
flowers in a room--- even just one or two in a bud vase--- freshens
the atmosphere and connects us with the natural world.
We
can't imagine a farm without fields of flowers; we plant them
everywhere we can. Some are "working flowers",
attracting bees and other beneficial insects. Some are purely for
enjoyment. Others, like the
flowering herbs, serve a specific purpose in either the kitchen or
the drying shed.
We
grow a wide range of florals especially for bouquets (we call
these "cuts"). We choose the varieties carefully to
ensure long, strong stems and a vase-life of at least a week after
cutting. Flower shareholders will be entitled to select and
arrange their bouquet flowers from buckets of freshly cut blooms.
A nice mix of "Focal" and "Filler" cuts is
essential, and during a typical summer week we will offer many of the following:
